I'm sorry it's been a while but we've been so busy!! I'm on day 47 and no period...I received a prescription for progesterone last Monday and finished my five day supply last Friday. Hopefully I'll see my period within the next week...
My latest doctor's appointment was on Friday and it really helped answer some questions. I had an ultrasound (which our insurance paid for in full!!) where they said it looks like a text book! He went over all of my blood work and what he saw in the ultrasound. After looking at the ultrasound photos the follicles really make him believe I have PCOS. My bad cholesterol is good but my good cholesterol isn't high enough. My testosterone level is very high, so this is another sign of PCOS. My sugar levels are high and I need to watch this. My THS (Thyroid) level is too low and he said I have hyperthyroidism. He is sending me to a thyroid endocrinologist. I also have to start birth control pills due to my testosterone level. I don't go back until January and this is when we will put a plan into action. My husband's semen analysis results came back and he will need to go back later in the month for another round...oh, lucky him! It came back as 21.9 million and the lowest it needs to be is 20 million. I truly am thankful that we decided to see Dr. Slayden. Over the past year I have had so many questions as to why I wasn't pregnant and they are all getting answered.
I can always count on my husband to make me laugh...when we went for his semen analysis he had to do it all in the office since we live about 45 minutes away from the office. When we was done we had lunch and he takes out his cell phone and shows me pictures of the porno magazines and videos they have in the room!! LOL! He thought I was nuts when I told him they would have that stuff available for him to use...
On another note...our friends had a little girl early Saturday morning! They now have 2 under the age of 2! That is a lot to deal with. We visited them Saturday around lunch time and she is so precious! While we were there our friend's mom brought her one year old and she was so excited to see the baby. She started kissing the baby up and down her face. It brought tears to my eyes because it was so sweet!
